my best friend had a baby. it’s both strange and awesome. i’ve been both overwhelmed with happiness and scared into complete anti-pregnancy-labor-needles-headscomingoutofplacestheydon’tfit submission.

can’t wait for what the future of this little family holds :)

starting with my own family once again! meg is my cousin (can’t you see the resemblance? :) ) but really, i married into this family and now we have a new addition- baby peyton! it has been fun having everyone “grow up” together over the years. through engagements, first houses, weddings, and now their first baby boy. it was amazing to see meg and josh in this new chapter of their lives. peyton is a ladies man through and through- within 24 hrs we were tucked under blankets and snuggling in his footed pajamas. melts the heart!

so we decided since we weren’t celebrating Christmas together this year, we would have our own Christmas a little early! as in…before Thanksgiving :) yes, meg and i were THOSE people this year. josh came home from work and meg and i went right to hanging stockings, singling along to holiday music, drinking buttered rum cider, and decorating the mantel. while josh sat there staring at us like we had completely lost it, there was no stopping us. we were here to do one thing and that was celebrate Christmas. add in more family (libby + travis) and full holiday celebrations were underway. it was a fun weekend indeed. of course, this called for a their first official family pictures….

peyton :: can’t wait to watch you grow up and tell you all the crazy stories about your parents which they will always deny. starting with a Florida Christmas Story and your father in tight, green, holiday pants ;-)
