• grilled cheese sandwiches. black and white film. the color of dusk. lemon scented soap. house projects. the smell of fresh paint. my dog dreaming. dried lavendar. good beer and cheap pizza make the best date nights. my holga. I have the craziest friends. my husband is kinda hot. pajamas and fuzzy socks are all I need in the world. white letterpress. old books. laughing out loud. probably too loud. candlelight. ice cold cherry coke. handwritten to-do lists. vanilla lattes. fashion magazines. traveling the world. did I mention the hot husband?

this blog is my little piece of the internet world where i post photo shoots, talk about my adventures in starting my own business, and write about being married to my best friend and complete opposite.

i consider myself lucky. i get to provide families with photographs that will be passed down for generations, leaving a mark on their family history. i can’t imagine anything more fullfilling. between my “real” life vs. “photography” life, things can get pretty crazy around here. i invite you into my non-eventful personal life...and my extremely eventful photography business...and all the stories that unfold in between.

if nothing else, I hope to at least entertain you with the it all. And that is what this blog is all about –
my life. art…and most importantly...midnight snacks.

welcome to my blog. i hope you stay awhile :)

me and my girl.

giving a bottle with your chin while multi-tasking is a talent i now admire of all my mom friends.

i got to spend some time getting to know my best friend’s new baby girl. we cuddled. we cried. we laughed. we exchanged dreams for our future.

sorry cary, it looks like i may have a new best friend :)

Thats fine we can share! So I guess if you guys are best friends now then that makes you the perfect babysitter!! Fridays good for you?

And whoever took those pictures did a great job!! ;)

30 days.

we are on a 30 day countdown over here. a whole lot of excitement and a little bit of nerves are all around. a little surreal, but for now i will just try to relax and appreciate these last few quiet weeks before the return of my husband. trying to remember what it is like to even really live with a husband. strange, i know, but i suppose that is what happens when they deploy and are gone for a year and a half.

(i will learn to share… i will learn to share….i will learn to share….)

a snapshot someone captured of their last goodbyes before they boarded the plane for Afghanistan. my husband is the one in the back corner with glasses, talking on the phone (probably with me)
